One step forward - that’s all

Reflecting on the immanent release of The Vandal and The Violet Storm, something’s changed. This is our first EP for a while, our first as Never She Said, our first using a featured artist, and easily the most ambitious project we’ve taken on. The last time we released music, we put EPs out into the world and waited. Not this time.

Over the past few years, we’ve matured as writers, both lyrically and musically. The songs feel more intentional now, more aligned with who we are and what we want to say.

Last time, releasing an EP felt like a big deal - something final, something to recover from. This time, it feels like a milestone. A marker. A point on a longer path. We’re already deep into the next project. We have a backlog of lyrics and fully formed songs waiting to be recorded. We’re actively looking for new collaborators. The creative momentum is already moving forward, and the release is simply one step in that motion.

So yes, we’re excited. Yes, we’re nervous. But mostly, we’re ready - not just to release The Vandal and The Violet Storm, but to keep going. To build. To expand. To make Never She Said into the project we always hoped it could become.

This time, the EP isn’t the destination. It’s the beginning.
